This disclaimer applies to all public maps, applications, and geospatial data published by the City of Manassas GIS & Data Services Division.

This map and data herein is intended for reference purposes only. The City of Manassas does not provide any guarantee of the accuracy or completeness regarding the map information. Any determination of topography or contours, or any depiction of physical improvements, property lines or boundaries is for general information only and shall not be used for the design, modification, or construction of improvements to real property or for flood plain determination.

Official records govern

City GIS data is a cartographic representation of information held elsewhere. Where GIS data conflicts with an official record, the official record governs.

• Property ownership, deeds, and plats: Clerk of the Circuit Court.
• Assessed values and property characteristics: Office of Real Estate Assessment.
• Zoning: Department of Community Development. Only a written zoning determination is authoritative.
• Flood hazard areas: the effective FEMA Flood Insurance Rate Map.
• Property lines and boundaries: a boundary survey by a land surveyor licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Underground utilities

Currency of the data

Datasets are updated on different schedules. Some are refreshed nightly, others annually, and some only when a change is recorded. Any map represents a snapshot in time and may not reflect recent subdivisions, construction, or changes in ownership. Aerial imagery reflects conditions on the date it was flown.

No warranty and limitation of liability

All maps, applications, services, and data are provided "as is" and without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. The City does not warrant that any service will be uninterrupted or error free.

The City of Manassas, its officials, officers, employees, and agents assume no liability for any decision made or action taken in reliance on City GIS maps, applications, or data.

Report a data error

The City welcomes corrections. It helps to include the address or parcel involved, where you saw the error, and what appears to be wrong. Reporting an error does not change an official record. Corrections to ownership, assessment, or zoning must be pursued with the department that maintains that record.
